From Blog Life to Real Life!

I saw this link up idea advertised on The Magnolia Pair a few days and just loved the idea of showcasing some of my must-reads and finding some new-to-me blogs!

Leave me a comment if you decide to link up too! I'd love to see who YOU love to read!

Enjoy :)

1. Do you have any real life blog friends?

Ashley from Our Little Apartment technically qualifies, I think. Although she and I went to college together and had little baby blogs about boys, lent, and other silly things we moved 600 miles away and continue to stay connected via the blogosphere. We have the pleasure of reuniting on occasion, but if it weren’t for blogging, I don’t know how connected we would be.

2. Which blogger are you just dying to meet?

Dwija from House Unseen. She bought a house of the internet and had never seen it. And now she’s raising chicken in the middle of Michigan and is due with her 5th baby any day now. I am anxiously awaiting the live-tweet of her home birth. I’m sure it’ll be hilarious and beautiful at the same time.

House Unseen. Life Unscripted.

3. Which blogger's closet do you want to raid?

Natalie from The Busy Budgeting Mama. Not because she has a fabulous designer wardrobe (she is married to a youth minister, after all), but because it’s cute, budget minded, and mom friendly.

Also, if I could trade a day with any blogger it would be her. I haven’t seen her since she hung out with my brother back-in-the-day, so I’d love to see how she manages her life with two girls, her blog schedule, her etsy shop, and decorating her house (so cute!).

4. You are stuck on an island. Which blogger would you want with you to help you survive?

Carissa from lowercase letters. Her faith, joy, passion, and hope are a weekly inspiration to me, even though I’ve never met her!

5. The first blogger you remember "meeting" and connecting with ?

I remember hitting the send button on an email regarding cloth diapers probably close to a year ago now...thinking, um, I just put myself out there as a known blog stalker. But sweet Mama Bethany wrote be back and we’ve been blog friends ever since.

6. Any blogger that you admire and look up to?

Totally Amanda from Growing up Gardner. She blogs about her kids, upcycling thrift store finds, sales at Target, and her faith journey, all while maintaining a gorgeous home, nannying for her nieces/nephews, homeschooling her kids, and supporting her husband’s students.

7. Who is the craziest/funniest blogger?

Sarah from Sarah Unfiltered. She’s a new blogger on the block...Friend of my sister’s future sister-in-law (you got all that, right?). She also taught for the Confirmation class that I coordinate once or twice. Anyway, she can take something as simple as taking her baby swimming and turn it into a sitcom. And if you’re looking for the male perspective, her husband blogs too. Hilarious stuff those two.

8. There's a reality television show for bloggers, who would you want to be casted with you?

Rebecca from A Southern Boy and A City Girl. We have similar lives: Catholic, married, kids, hard-working husbands, awesome families that we love to spend time with... but she has 10x more energy than me. I would need someone as crazy-passionate as she is to balance me on a reality TV show...she'd be my ideal partner for a reality game show.

9. Some bloggers have really cool jobs, anybody you'd like to swap careers with?

Kathryn from Married Filing Joint. I actually had no idea what she did for a living until I just went to copy and paste her link. According to her bio she just did for a blog link up, she is an accountant. So yeah, I wouldn’t actually want to be an accountant ("they were using numbers and stuff"), but I would LOVE to travel to all the really cool countries she goes to for her job.

10. Favorite blog design?

Amy from The Charming. Every time I venture out of my Google Reader to an actual site, Amy has a new design. They’re all so simple and clean, yet show her personality. After her wedding she can work up a fresh design for you...and for cheap! I should call her....

  1. Haha, I think it's funny that you would want my job, especially after you know I am an accountant. My day to day job isn't very exciting, but since I work for an airline (you can probably guess which one) I do get to travel. I just don't broadcast the airline thing, since people are have lots of opinions about air travel.  P.S. your comments doesn't have your reply email in it, so I couldn't reply to your comment, but Anna Lee's is right of Holcomb bridge near 400. It's basically behind Hooters. Lol.

Where has she been?*

It's been a while, friends. Hi! Where did we leave off?  Ah yes, the roach .  He's still alive.  It's been over 10 days.  Though, he's slowing down and looking a little skinnier than when we first found him.  Maybe I'm making it up. I've started my new job with my friends lawn maintenance company.  Most of my time has been spent learning all the new (to me) software, moving the office to it's new locations, and just learning what the company does and offers.  Chris and I have had a great time working together so far.  I'm really enjoying learning new things.  Chris has already taught me a lot about great customer service. This weekend was my last retreat with middle school kids.  It was bittersweet. We had a spirit filled weekend full of lots of laughs, low ropes, rock wall, ultimate frisbee, prayer, and learning about Jesus. Our theme was "You Never Let Go" and we discussed three parables:  The Lost Sheep, The Lost Coin, ...

Baking with Betty: Dunwoody Dip

You're probably asking yourself, what is Dunwoody Dip? And it's a great question! It's easy to make. Melty. Cheesy. Meaty. A little bit spicy. And everyone LOVES it!  The origin, though, it's a more difficult to nail down.  My grandmother, who is from Dunwoody, Ga, actually heard about this dip when she was visiting friends in Denver.  Urban legend has it that some guy brought the dip to a party in Denver and when prompted for a name he stalled and said "Dunwoody Dip." Because, apparently he was from Dunwoody.   Who really knows? All I do know, is that this dip is yummy, very easy to make, and is always the first gone at a party or family get together.  Also, Eric might have married me because of this... Dunwoody Dip Ingredients: One tube of Jimmy Dean Hot Sausage Two cans of Rotel Tomatoes - Hot Two bars of Cream Cheese Big bag of Fritos Scoops Directions: Preheat oven to 325. In a large frying pan over medium-ish heat, brown the sausage. ...
